Get Your Illinois Democracy Kit Here
Here's how to get your Democracy Kit: If you live in one of the eight cities below, click its link. If not, choose your county from the drop-down menu. Your three-page Democracy Kit will come to your screen in PDF format. Print it out on white, 8 1/2 by 11-inch paper. [NOTE: The petition form has seven signature lines. If you have more than seven friends who support democracy, click on the petition form, select the print command from the File menu, chose "Current Page" as your option, set the number of copies you want, and then click the "Print" button.] (NOTE: Documents are in PDF format requiring a free Adobe Reader. You can download it here.) All who sign a petition form must live in the city or the county printed at the top of the form. All must be registered voters. All must write clearly. Do not let them abbreviate city or street names (St. for "Street" or Ave. for "Avenue,", etc., are okay). Generic Petition Form: If you circulate petitions among signers from several counties, use this form. Print out enough so you will have at least one form for each county represented at the gathering. It is vital that all who sign any one form live in the same county (or city if it is one of the eight listed above). Click HERE for valuable instructions on how the "generic petition form must be circulated. |
